Welcome to Mary Jo's Music Studio (MJMS) policy & procedure page! Teaching and helping others is a passion of mine. I truly do love teaching and working with my students. Mary Jo's Music Studios aim is to provide a diverse learning experience through quality instructions in a professional atmosphere with guidelines that are subject to each students individual growth. The below policies & procedures is our way of communicating our specific goals towards creating the right environment for everyone to enjoy. As always if you have any questions, please contact me and I will assist you with the interpretation of these policies.
STUDIO POLICIES
Holiday observance:
Observance will be scheduled according to the following days – See holiday observance calendar list. We will be closed on the days shown. If a lesson should fall on any of the aforementioned holidays it shall not be deemed a scheduled lesson.
Religious observances:
If a student/parent have specific reasons for not observing anyone of these holiday-scheduled times and want to observe any other special event based on their religious or cultural background, you may do so. However, the federal holidays will still be observed by our studio and you may partake in your specific event as well and as long as we are informed ahead of that date, giving us enough time to set our calendar properly.

Makeup lessons:
Makeup lessons are allowed. On occasion I may have to cancel lessons for business, personal, or health reasons. Notices will be posted on the internet, emailed, or communicated to you personally well in advance when possible. We will simply pickup where we left off.

TUITION (monthly) PAYMENTS
Invoices are billed to the client via email in arrears (after lessons are complete), and not ahead of lessons. Invoices are sent out via email on the first of each month, and payments are due the 1st of each month, again after the lessons. If payments are not received 31 days after the billing has been sent out and the client received it, we will stop the lessons so that the parents (students) do not fall into deeper debt and despair over nonpayment. Once the delinquent invoice is paid in full the lessons will resume. All billings are emailed to clients unless otherwise requested to be sent by postal service. Payments can also be made in person and by check and/or cash. Our preferred payment method is "Zelle", but we will accept other electronic forms of payment as well.

If there is a second check returned due to insufficient funds there would be a late fee for that payment as well, however payment shall be accepted on a cash basis only afterward for all future lessons.

Grand fathered clients: All grandfathered clients will also switch to these guidelines as well. There are no weekly payments; all payments must meet these guidelines.
Changes in tuition rates:
Mary Jo’s Music Studio reserves the right to change tuition rates and fees at anytime. However, advance notice of any changes will be given one month prior to changes.
